If you are an Hourglass Shape your top and bottom are proportionate while your waist is small. Your shape is a minority. Less than 10% of women are an hourglass. (Coming from someone who has been a boy or pear for a majority of her life, you have the best shape.)
You have no proportion problems. Meaning, your stomach is small and your bust and hips are perfectly even. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about balancing out your top with your bottom or vice versa.
Make sure that you don’t wear anything that is going to make your bust disappear into your stomach. Wear clothes that come in at the waist. If you wear a baggy sweater, people won’t be able to tell if you have a waist at all.
If you wear something that cuts across the bust it will make you look like a column. If you wear something that cuts across the hips it will make you look like a pear.
Speaking of hips, you might have a little. It is best for your shape to wear pants that are mid-rise. If you’re going to wear skinny leg pants make sure to add extra emphasis to that tiny waist of yours or you could end up looking like an ice cream cone. However, you can go with a pencil skirt, a straight skirt, a flare skirt, bootcut pants, wide leg pants, or bell-bottoms.
